  1. 1. Vad motiverar paraidrottare att utöva idrott och motion? En kvalitativ studie

    Kandidat-uppsats, Högskolan i Halmstad/Akademin för hälsa och välfärd

    Författare :Fredrik Lindberg; [2023]
    Nyckelord :para-athletes; physical disability; Self-Determination Theory; motivation; social support; Fysisk funktionsnedsättning; motivation; paraidrottare; självbestämmandeteori; socialt stöd;

    Sammanfattning : The purpose of the study, which is qualitative, was to investigate what motivates para- athletes living with a physical disability to perform sports and exercise based on the self- determination theory. The two questions of the study was how is the motivation of wheelchair athletes with physical impairment for sport and exercise affected based on the three psychological needs? How is the para-athlete’s sporting participation and performance affected by social support? In order to adequately answer the purpose of the study and its questions, semi-structured interviews were conducted (Smith & Sparkers, 2018). LÄS MER

  3. 3. Neurodynamic treatment in combination with manual therapy in patients with persistent lateral elbow pain : A Single Subject Experimental Design study

    Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för hälsa, lärande och teknik

    Författare :Linus Heedman; [2021]
    Nyckelord :SSED; upper limb neurodynamic test; radial nerve; grip strength; physical therapy;

    Sammanfattning : Introduction Lateral elbow pain is a common disorder and affects 1-3 % of the population each year. Beside the typical characterization with pain in restricted dorsal and radial deviation of the wrist and local tenderness of the lateral epicondyle, a neurodynamic dysfunction of the radial nerve can co-exist with the tendon dysfunction.
