1. Learning a Grasp Prediction Model for Forestry Applications
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för fysikSammanfattning : Since the advent of machine learning and machine vision methods, progress has been made in tackling the long-standing research question of autonomous grasping of arbitrary objects using robotic end-effectors. Building on these efforts, we focus on a subset of the general grasping problem concerning the automation of a forwarder. LÄS MER
2. Evaluating the performance of cone crushers under various feeding conditions using DEM and coupled DEM-MBS simulations
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för teknikvetenskap och matematikSammanfattning : Cone crushers are used in both the construction and mining industries for the production of aggregates and extraction of ores. Aggregates are used when building for example houses, roads and railways, hence the cone crushers are a vital part of modern society. LÄS MER
3. Multibody simulations of vibrations in a truck’s steering system
Master-uppsats, KTH/Matematik (Avd.)Sammanfattning : This thesis aims to explore if multibody simulations is a suitable method to investigate vibrations in the steering system of trucks. Vibrations in the steering system and subsequently in the steering wheel is a common issue that automotive manufacturers face. LÄS MER
4. Learning by Digging : A Differentiable Prediction Model for an Autonomous Wheel Loader
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för fysikSammanfattning : Wheel loaders are heavy duty machines that are ubiquitous on construction sites and in mines all over the world. Fully autonomous wheel loaders remains an open problem but the industry is hoping that increasing their level of autonomy will help to reduce costs and energy consumption while also increasing workplace safety. 5. Multibody modelling of the vibrations in an aircraft engine
Master-uppsats, KTH/Lättkonstruktioner, marina system, flyg- och rymdteknik, rörelsemekanikSammanfattning : During the assembly of aircraft engines, some clearance is left in the rolling bearings mainly to reduce friction. However this clearance might allow the rolling element to vibrate during flight. Indeed, unwanted vibrations called non-synchronous vibrations (NSV) appear on the data recorded by the sensors on some development engines. LÄS MER
