  1. 1. Acute effects of physical exercise of different intensities on working memory : Masters thesis

    Master-uppsats, Gymnastik- och idrottshögskolan, GIH/Institutionen för fysisk aktivitet och hälsa

    Författare :Ludwig Johansson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Single bout of exercise and cognitive working memory performance; Acute physical exercise and cognitive working memory performance; Working memory performance and physical exercise; Cognitive functions and physical exercise; Working memory; Cognitive functions; Brain derived neurotrophic factor; Linear relationship; U-shaped curve theory; N-back;

    Sammanfattning : Aim: The purpose of this study was to investigate acute effects of physical exercise of different intensities on working memory. Method: Twelve young adults, 20-40 years, 8 males and 4 females passed the screening and participated in a randomized experimental crossover within-subject design study with three experimental conditions. 2. 2. The Influence of Working Memory, Language Learning Experience and Language Background on LLAMA_F Test Performance

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för psykologi

    Författare :Maria Tomm; [2022]
    Nyckelord :language aptitude; grammatical inferencing; LLAMA_F; working memory; language learning experience; language background; agglutinative languages; Social Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : This experimental study investigates how individual variation in cognitive functioning, specifically working memory, previous experience with language learning but also language background, influence language aptitude, in particular grammatical inferencing - the capacity to spot patterns in grammar - as measured by the LLAMA_F test. Firstly, the study explores individual factors hypothesised to influence grammatical inferencing performance. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Physical Fitness VS. Reaction Time in E-sports. : A Design of an Experiment.

    Kandidat-uppsats, Blekinge Tekniska Högskola/Institutionen för datavetenskap

    Författare :Eric Hallengren; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Reaction Time; Physical Fitness; Executive Functions; Gaming; Aerobics;

    Sammanfattning : Background: E-sports is a grand industry and has been gaining momentum in the latest decades. Reaction time (RT) is an important part of most e-sports games and therefore a possible way to evaluate and improve RT is desired. LÄS MER

  4. 4. An ROI-analysis of Activation in FG2, Amygdala lb and dlPFC : How are they Functionally Organized in a Face Working Memory task

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Psykologi

    Författare :Jonathan Mira; Kalle Österman; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging; ROI-analysis; Face Working Memory; n-back; FG2; Amygdala lb; dlPFC;

    Sammanfattning : Working memory (WM) for facial identity and WM for facial expressions of emotions is important in everyday functioning and seems to have different neurobiological correlates. We investigated the level of neural activation in three regions of interest (ROI): the fusiform face area (FFA), dorsolateral prefrontal cortex (dlPFC), and amygdala; and how they are related to behavioral performance during an n-back task involving face stimuli with a complex background figure within an fMRI-paradigm. 5. 5. Emotional working memory training, work demands, stress and anxiety in cognitive performance and decision-making under uncertainty

    Master-uppsats, Linnéuniversitetet/Institutionen för psykologi (PSY)

    Författare :Amanda J. Heath; [2018]
    Nyckelord :Working memory training; decision-making under uncertainty; work demands; N-back; COPSOQ; State-Trait Anxiety; Iowa Gambling Task;

    Sammanfattning : The study seeks to bring together literature on decision-making, the effects of work-related demands and stress, and individual differences in trait anxiety on near and far transfer effects of emotional working memory training (eWM). A sample of 31 students and working participants underwent emotional working memory training through an adaptive dual n-back method or a placebo face match training task for 14 days. LÄS MER
