    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the significance of GIS in local, regional and national actors’ work with crisis preparedness and urban planning relative to natural hazards and resilience. Three interviews involving the City of Stockholm, the Stockholm County Administrative Board and The Swedish Civil Contingencies Agency shed light on how GIS is used and the descriptive significance of GIS.
