  1. 6. Approximating Reasoning with Transformer Language Models

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för data- och informationsteknik

    Författare :Daniel Enström; Viktor Kjellberg; [2023-10-19]
    Nyckelord :natural language processing; nlp; automated reasoning; logic; inference; machine learning; transformers; language models; BERT; BART;

    Sammanfattning : We conduct experiments with BART, a generative language-model architecture, to investigate its capabilities for approximating reasoning by learning from data. For this we use the SimpleLogic dataset, a dataset of satisfiability problems in propositional logic originally created by Zhang et al. (2022). LÄS MER

  2. 7. Rekonstruktion av stavningsvarianter i SAOB med normaliseringsregler från nusvenska till nysvenska

    Magister-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för filosofi, lingvistik och vetenskapsteori

    Författare :Charlotte Löfstrand; [2023-09-22]
    Nyckelord :Nysvenska; normaliseringsregler; edit distance; Natural Language Processing; NLP; normalisation; normalisering; ortografi; ortografihistoria; språkteknologi; språkhistoria; ordbok; återskapa; NLTK; regex; SAOB; svenska; Python;

    Sammanfattning : Svenska Akademins ordbok skall bli färdigställd under 2023. En återstående del är att återskapa äldre ord. Här härleder jag normaliseringsregler för att rekonstruera ortografiska varianter av ord som förekommit från 1500-talet till 1900-talet. LÄS MER

  3. 8. IŻ SWÓJ JĘZYK MAJĄ! An exploration of the computational methods for identifying language variation in Polish

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet / Institutionen för filosofi, lingvistik och vetenskapsteori

    Författare :Maria Irena Szawerna; [2023-06-19]
    Nyckelord :language variation; Polish; diachronic linguistics; part-of-speech tagging; lemmatization; corpus linguistics;

    Sammanfattning : Computational approaches to language variation continue to contribute in a relevant way to various fields, including Natural Language Processing (NLP) and linguistics. Being able to accommodate variation within natural language increases the robustness of NLP models and their usefulness in real-life applications; simultaneously, detecting and describing variation and trends that govern it is one of the main goals of sociolinguistics and historical linguistics, meaning that some of the advances in NLP can contribute to these fields as well. 4. 9. Detecting inconsistencies of safety artifacts with Natural Language Processing Bachelor of Science Thesis

    Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för data- och informationsteknik

    Författare :Xuni Huang; [2023-01-09]
    Nyckelord :Inconsistencies; Safety-critical systems; Natural language processing; Classification;

    Sammanfattning : This paper investigates a method that helps detect inconsistencies between safety-critical systems’ textual safety artifacts that safety cases rely on by involving NLP techniques. A design science research study was conducted in three iterations. I evaluate the method by conducting different experiments. LÄS MER

  5. 10. Optimising Machine Learning Models for Imbalanced Swedish Text Financial Datasets: A Study on Receipt Classification : Exploring Balancing Methods, Naive Bayes Algorithms, and Performance Tradeoffs

    Kandidat-uppsats, Linnéuniversitetet/Institutionen för datavetenskap och medieteknik (DM)

    Författare :Li Ang Hu; Long Ma; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Imbalanced datasets; Swedish text financial datasets; Accuracy; Matthews correlation coefficient; Recall; Multinomial Naive Bayes; SMOTE; TomekLinks; Performance optimization;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates imbalanced Swedish text financial datasets, specifically receipt classification using machine learning models. The study explores the effectiveness of under-sampling and over-sampling methods for Naive Bayes algorithms, collaborating with Fortnox for a controlled experiment. LÄS MER
