  1. 1. Chromatin accessibility analysis of spaceflight mouse brains using ArchR

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Genteknologi

    Författare :Raphaël Mauron; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Single nuclei ATAC-sequencing; Space Biology; DNA Chromatin accessibility; Neurodegenerative; ArchR; ATAC-sekvensering av enskilda kärnor; rymdbiologi; tillgänglighet av DNA kromatin ; neurodegenerativa sjukdomar; ArchR;

    Sammanfattning : Mänsklig utforskning av månen och Mars innebär stora utmaningar för människans fysiologi och hälsa på grund av de unika miljöfaktorer som följer av långvariga rymduppdrag. Rymdbiologiska experiment har blivit ett viktigt verktyg för att studera effekterna som mikrogravitation och rymdstrålning har på levande organismer, i syfte att förstå och minska dessa utmaningar. 2. 2. Investigation of Antenna Radomes in Low Earth Orbits

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Centrum för analys och syntes

    Författare :Mathias Manohar Gren; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Materials; Science; Space; Satellites; Antenna Radomes; Beyond Gravity; Coatings; Physics; Chemistry; Low Earth Orbits; Engineering; Lunds University; Materials Chemistry; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Introduction: This master’s thesis focuses on exploring improved alternative material solutions for antenna radomes used to protect Beyond Gravity Sweden’s satellite antennas in low Earth orbits. Background: As the environment in low Earth orbit is harsh, surface materials on satellites experience high levels of atomic oxygen, ultra violet radiation, thermal-fluctuation, charged particles and micro meteoroids. 3. 3. Cromwell on the Moon; Or, Printing, Popularity, Persuasion : An Account of Text Reuse Patterns and Eighteenth-Century Utopian Thinking

    Magister-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för ABM

    Författare :Kira Sophie Hinderks; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Utopias; Text Reuse; Intellectual History; Eighteenth Century; ECCO; Print Culture;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis approaches eighteenth-century utopian thinking from a new methodological angle, namely by utilising the Reception Reader, an open-access text reuse detection tool, to study a sub-corpus of 39 utopian works available in ECCO (Eighteenth Century Collections Online), the largest collection of digitised eighteenth-century texts printed in the British and Irish Isles. As the first study of text reuse in utopian thinking, this thesis shows that text reuse detection is a viable method for gaining new insights into eighteenth-century utopian thinking. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Forming wide-orbit planets via pebble accretion

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Astrofysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Författare :Nerea Gurrutxaga; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Planet Formation; Pebble Accretion; Protoplanetary Disk; Wide-Orbit Planet; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : The possibility that detected substructures in protoplanetary disks, such as gaps, rings and cavities, are created by distant protoplanets has prompted an inquiry into the mechanism responsible for their formation. These wide-orbit young bodies are likely to form relatively rapidly in the outer regions of circumstellar disks. LÄS MER

  5. 5. High tide flooding in near future projections for popular travel destinations

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :David Ebert; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Physical Geography and Ecosystem analysis; High tide flooding; Projections; Adaptation and mitigation strategies; Lunar precession; Nodal cycle; Cycle of lunar perigee; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : High tide flooding (HTF) is becoming more common in coastal regions of the United States, although this phenomenon remains largely undocumented in published literature from other parts of the world. No matter the emissions scenario over the next decades, sea level rise (SLR) is projected to continue worldwide until at least the end of the 21st century, continually pushing the frequency and severity of HTF.
