    Sammanfattning : This study seeks to examine the use of history and its importance in combination with the peasant rebellion that originated in the province of Dalarna in 1743. By studying dissertations and other forms of literature that cover the rebellion I will categorize the use of history based on Karlsson’s and Zanders’s typology and analyze how Dalarna’s social and economic structure can be of importance in understanding why this province was in the forefront of the rebellion.
