  1. 1. MANGO - Generating 2D-Magnetic Field Maps From Normal-Conducting Magnets Of Experimental Areas

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Fysik

    Författare :Ambre Visive; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Applied Physics; Particle Physics; MANGO; Magnetic Field Maps; Normal-Conducting Magnets; Finite-Element Modelling; Opera-2D; Git Repository; Python Package; Beam Lines; Experimental Areas; CERN; Tillämpad Fysik; Partikelfysik; MANGO; Magnetfältskartor; Normalkonduktiva Elektromagneter; Finit Elementmodellering; Opera-2D; Git Repository; Python Package; Partikelstrållinje; Experimentområden; CERN;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis discusses the development of MANGO, a tool created to model normal-conducting magnets which were installed in the 1970s in the experimental areas at CERN, and store their analysis. MANGO formulates an answer to two problems faced by the physicists of the Beam Department when they model a beam line: first, how to produce new magnetic field maps and, second, how to easily access existing ones? It contains a multi-use package that offers an automated process to produce magnetic field maps from finite-element models of magnets. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Misfire Detection in Heavy Duty Diesel Engines Using Knock Sensors

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Fordonssystem

    Författare :Carl Sjöstedt; [2023]
    Nyckelord :ICE; combustion engine; combustion engines; Scania; diesel; knock; knock sensor; knock sensors; misfire; misfire detection;

    Sammanfattning : In this thesis the possibility of using knock sensors for misfire detection in heavy duty diesel engines is investigated. This is of great interest due to many emission legislations getting stricter, especially in the US where robust misfire detection is mandatory for these types of engines. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Pre-study for SMR and Nuclear Establishment in Norway

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för energivetenskaper

    Författare :Johan Stefan Nordström; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Energy mapping; Nuclear power; SMR; small modular reactors; siting; Norway; Energy; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Norway has Europe’s highest share of renewable electricity production and the lowest power sector emissions. Thanks to the country’s stable power production, Norway has affordable and stable access to electricity, leading to industries choosing to relocate to the country. LÄS MER

  4. 4. High-parametric protein maps reveal single-cell organization in developing human heart

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Proteinvetenskap

    Författare :Mattias Hansen; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Embryonic heart; immunofluorescence microscopy; multiplex tissue imaging; CODEX; protein profiling; Embryonalt hjärta; immunofluorescensmikroskopi; multiplex vävnadsavbildning; CODEX; proteinprofilering;

    Sammanfattning : Kunskap om den tidiga utveckling av däggdjurshjärtat är för det mesta baserad på djurmodeller vilket orsakar att utvecklingen av det mänskliga embryonala hjärtat är till en stor del inferentiell på en molekylär nivå. Tidigare profilering av mänskliga prenatala genuttryckmönster är för det mesta baserat på transkriptomisk data vilket lämnar genuttryck på en proteinnivå till en stor del icke utforskat. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Hypoxic Target Volume Determination in PET/CT Imaging : The Impact of Deformable Image Registration

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för kemi, bioteknologi och hälsa (CBH)

    Författare :Viktor Rosenberg; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Positron emission tomography; image registration; hypoxic tumour volume; dose escalation; tumour control probability;

    Sammanfattning : Using a tailored dose distribution for personalized radiotherapy with the help of positron emission tomography (PET) might give an edge for successful tumour elimination. One of the main determinants for tumour radioresistance in several solid tumours has been investigated as hypoxia, including head and neck cancer (HNC). LÄS MER
