  1. 1. Evaluation of structurally controlled rockfall hazard for underground excavations in seismically active areas of the Kiirunavaara mine

    Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för samhällsbyggnad och naturresurser

    Författare :Manuel Alberto Fuentes Espinoza; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Structurally controlled rockfalls; rockfalls due to seismic shaking; sublevel caving; fork layout; Unwedge; wedge analysis; deterministic analysis; probabilistic analysis;

    Sammanfattning : Sublevel caving operations at great depths are subjected both to large stress concentrations that are redistributed as the mining front progresses and to mining-induced seismicity. This is the case for Kiirunavaara mine, Sweden’s largest underground mine. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Investigation Of Source Parameters Of Earthquakes In Northern Sweden

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Geofysik

    Författare :María González-Caneda; [2019]
    Nyckelord :spectral analysis; earthquake source observations; ω-2 source model; moment magnitude; local magnitude; Northern Sweden seismicity.;

    Sammanfattning : By studying the frequency domain of seismic signals generated by earthquakes, the source parameters can be recovered, i.e., the seismic moment (M0) and the stress drop (Δσ). LÄS MER

  3. 3. Seismic activity and end- or post-glacial faults in northern Fennoscandia, focusing on Sweden

    Kandidat-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för ekologi, miljö och geovetenskap

    Författare :Kie Oyama; [2016]
    Nyckelord :Fennoscandia; seismicity; end post-glacial fault; deglaciation; glacial uplift;

    Sammanfattning : During the late or post Weichselian glacial periods, about 9500 years ago, several faulting associated with large scale earthquakes were triggered in northern Fennoscandia. The end- or post-glacial scarps have a range of the lengths c. 3 to 155 km and the heights 0 to 30 m while most of them are reverse faults trending NE-SW with SE dips. LÄS MER
