    Sammanfattning : This thesis examines how the three urban development projects: Nydal, Norrtälje Harbor and Rosendal address the energy use in future buildings and how their energy strategies are articulated in relation to requirements specified in the SGBC’s certification system Citylab Action. The building Smaragden in Rosendal has been used as a model of a future building in the two other district areas in order to calculate the energy performance in each project, this by using the energy use simulation software IDA ICE.
