  1. 1. Developing transport interaction macromodels to simulate traffic patterns : Case of Oslo, Norway

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Transportplanering

    Författare :Omkar Parishwad; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Spatial Interaction Modelling; Transport Modelling; City Planning; OD Matrices; Trip distribution; Transport Simulations; Sustainable Development Goals;

    Sammanfattning : Predicting the passenger flow inside a city is a vital component of the intelligent transportation management system. The proposal for a new residential area, an office space, postpandemic policy implications for work from home, behavioral changes for revised traffic patterns, infrastructural improvements, require a visual and analytical backing which can be provided through a macro simulation model. 2. 2. Data-driven methods for estimation of dynamic OD matrices

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Kommunikations- och transportsystem; Linköpings universitet/Tekniska fakulteten

    Författare :Ina Eriksson; Lina Fredriksson; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Large-scale mobility data; Dynamic OD matrix; Unsupervised learning; Sensor fusion; Kalman filter; Principal component analysis; Online estimation; OD estimation;

    Sammanfattning : The idea behind this report is based on the fact that it is not only the number of users in the traffic network that is increasing, the number of connected devices such as probe vehicles and mobile sources has increased dramatically in the last decade. These connected devices provide large-scale mobility data and new opportunities to analyze the current traffic situation as they traverse through the network and continuously send out different types of information like Global Positioning System (GPS) data and Mobile Network Data (MND). 3. 3. Modelling urban traffic congestion due to construction transports - The Case of Norrköping

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Kommunikations- och transportsystem; Linköpings universitet/Tekniska fakulteten

    Författare :Rudolfs Zernis; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Transport systems; construction logistics; traffic simulation; traffic modelling; construction industry; congestion modelling;

    Sammanfattning : “Störningsfri stad” is an ongoing research project in Norrköping with the aim to create a planning system that shows the impact on the city caused by construction project related logistic activities. Based on the general idea that construction sites create disturbances within a city the thesis evaluates how it is possible to model excess congestion caused by construction transport and trips. 4. 4. Daily pattern recognition of dynamic origin-destination matrices using clustering and kernel principal component analysis

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Transportplanering

    Författare :Zhiwu Dong; [2021]
    Nyckelord :origin-destination; pattern recognition; principal component analysis; kernel principal component analysis; k-means cluster; ursprung-destination; mönsterigenkänning; huvudkomponentanalys; analys av kärnhuvudkomponent; k-medelkluster;

    Sammanfattning : Origin-Destination (OD) matrix plays an important role in traffic management and urban planning. However, the OD estimation demands large data collection which has been done in past mostly by surveys with numerous limitations. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Public transport origin-destination matrices: pattern recognition and short-term prediction

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Numerisk analys, NA

    Författare :Francesco Ferranti; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Statistics; machine learning; clustering; regression; OD matrices; Statistics; machine learning; clustering; regression; OD matrices;

    Sammanfattning : Origin-Destination (OD) matrices are an essential tool in transport planning and management to model user travel patterns. An OD matrix is a picture of the public transport passengers demand in a specific temporal window The use of the metropolitan transportation system as an alternative to private cars enables a decrease of CO2 emissions, air pollution and traffic noise.
