   Sammanfattning : The main purpose for this study has been to try to investigate which of our emotions that affect and control our motivational behaviour when it comes to helping people in need. Two main hypotheses were formed by the researchers; if people are told to imagine not helping an identified victim they will presume to feel more guilt than they would have done if presuming not helping a statistical victim and when people are told to imagine helping a group of people that makes up a high proportion of the total population they will presume to feel more positive emotions then they would have presumed to feel helping a group of people that makes up a low proportion of the total population.    Sammanfattning : I vår uppsats har vi försökt utreda om det utifrån ett moralfilosofiskt perspektiv är rätt eller fel att utföra en humanitär intervention. För att försöka göra detta har vi studerat kosmopolitimens, kommuniarismens och pacifismens syn på frågan för att hitta olika argument för och emot, och vi har studerat både originalverk och sammanfattande texter.
