2. Genetic manipulation to improve efficacy of dendric cell adoptive immunotherapy against cancer in dogs
Kandidat-uppsats, Karlstads universitetSammanfattning : To improve the efficacy of the dendritic cell vaccine Alv B DC from Alv B, the PD-L1 expression in cancer cells was attempted to be reduced through a transfection with a custom designed siRNA. Before transfecting the dendritic cells, the siRNA functionality had to be tested through flow cytometry, that resulted in negative results and therefore led to a RT-qPCR protocol that indicated that the siRNA was functional. 3. Antikroppssvar och PD-1/PD-L1 nivåer efter Covidvaccination
Kandidat-uppsats, Karlstads universitetSammanfattning : The virus SARS-CoV-2 gave rise to a global pandemic and several vaccines, whose efficiency needed to be evaluated, have been developed. Our immune system is regulated by several mechanisms that activate and inhibit immune response. LÄS MER
4. Molecular mapping of the HGSOC tumour microenvironment
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för medicinsk biokemi och mikrobiologiSammanfattning : High-grade serous ovarian cancer (HGSOC) is the most aggressive subtype of ovarian cancer, and its heterogeneity poses a challenge for the discovery of reliable diagnostic biomarkers, therapeutic targets, and predicting treatment response, particularly to immunotherapy. The current standard diagnostic and treatment options are inadequate, resulting in late diagnosis and poor prognosis. LÄS MER
5. Evaluating LOAd703 in combination with chemotherapeutic agents in ovarian cancer
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för biologisk grundutbildning; Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för immunologi, genetik och patologiSammanfattning : Ovarian cancer is a disease with a high rate of mortality where the need for novel treatments will increase in the near future as older and populous generations reach the age where the cancer is usually diagnosed. Once treated, ovarian cancer tends to recur and display a newfound resistance against the platinum-based chemotherapeutic drugs that are used to treat the disease. LÄS MER
