  1. 1. Exploring the effects of pressure on the magnetic properties of quasi-low dimensional quantum magnets via thermodynamic measurements

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Synkrotronljusfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Författare :Emelie Zhu; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Physics and Astronomy; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Four model solid state compounds were used to experimentally investigate the effects of pressure on the interactions in one- and two-dimensional Heisenberg magnetic models. BaCuSi2O6, BaCu2V2O8, SrCuO2 and CuGeO3 were successfully synthesized via solid-state reactions and characterized via x-ray diffraction. LÄS MER

  2. 2. IMPLICATION FOR THE UNIVERSITY OF GOTHENBURG TO ALIGN WITH THE GOVERNMENT’S TARGET REGARDING CLIMATE NEUTRALITY BY 2045 - Scenarios and Consequences

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet / Institutionen för biologi och miljövetenskap

    Författare :Nafiseh Kazemi Ashtiani; [2023-06-21]
    Nyckelord :Climate Neutrality; GHG emissions; higher education institutions HEIs ; Net Zero emission; carbon footprint; carbon capture and storage CCS ;

    Sammanfattning : It is widely acknowledged that one of the most significant global challenges of the 21 st century is climate change. In its Fifth Assessment Report (2014), the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) described the present extent of the problem and the hazards involved, citing greenhouse gas emissions from human activities as the primary contributor to global warming since the mid-20th century. 3. 3. Route Planning of Battery Electric Heavy-Duty Commercial Vehicles : Using Contraction Hierarchies and Mixed Integer Programming

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Datalogi

    Författare :Olle Delborg; Elias Insulander; [2023]
    Nyckelord :route planning; route optimization; contraction hierarchies; mixed integer programming; vehicle routing problem; electric trucks; electric vehicles; battery; openstreetmap; shortest path; Dijkstra;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis addresses route planning of Battery Electric Heavy-Duty Commercial Vehicles to enhance the reliability of electric vehicle transport. Collaborating with Scania, a Swedish truck manufacturing company, the goal is to develop a pipeline that uses open source data from OpenStreetMap and performs a modified Contraction Hierarchy in order to create a graph that can be used as input to a modified Vehicle Routing Problem formulation using Mixed Integer Programming. 4. 4. Velocity Obstacle method adapted for Dynamic Window Approach

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Florian Coissac; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Autonomous navigation; Local planning; Dynamic obstacle avoidance; ROS; Autonom navigering; Lokal planering; Dynamiskt undvikande av hinder; ROS;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis project is part of an internship at Visual Behavior. The company aims at producing computer vision models for robotics, helping the machine to better understand the world through the camera eye. The image holds many features that deep learning models are able to extract: navigable area, depth inference and object detection. LÄS MER

  5. 5. GPS-Free UAV Geo-Localization Using a Reference 3D Database

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Institutionen för systemteknik

    Författare :Justus Karlsson; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Deep Learning; Machine Learning; ML; AI; UAV; GPS-Free; CNN; 3D CNN; GCNN; 3D Database; geolocalization; geo-localization; georegistration; Hidden Markov Model; HMM; satellite; satellite database; Batch-Hard; triplet loss; PyTorch Geometric;

    Sammanfattning : The goal of this thesis has been global geolocalization using only visual input and a 3D database for reference. In recent years Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) have seen huge success in the task of classifying images. The flattened tensors at the final layers of a CNN can be viewed as vectors describing different input image features. LÄS MER
