  1. 1. Development of osmo- and appetite regulation during transfer of smolt from freshwater to increasing salinities

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet / Institutionen för biologi och miljövetenskap

    Författare :Jonna Hellesten; [2023-01-26]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Atlantic salmon (Salmo salar) is common in Scandinavian aquaculture and must be transferred from freshwater to seawater to grow properly. Despite being assessed as ready smolts, meaning they have gone through the physiological changes to prepare for SW transfer, the transfer result in a mortality rate of around 13-19%, and significant appetite- and growth reductions. 2. 2. Modelling the Water Table in a Bog

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :Tobias Bowley; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : Over the past five years, an ongoing study at INES, Lund University, have examined the encroachment of trees and vegetation into a bog ecosystem in northern Scania, Sweden. While several factors have been identified as contributing to this ecological transformation, including, nutrient availability, and climate, the hydrological aspect remains a key area of investigation. 3. 3. Investigating the influence of the tidal regime on harbour porpoise Phocoena phocoena distribution in Mount’s Bay, Cornwall

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :Duncan Jones; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Geography; Geographical Information Systems; GIS; Habitat Modelling; Harbour Porpoise; MaxEnt; Tidal Processes; Conservation; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Investigating the influence of the tidal regime on harbour porpoise Phocoena phocoena distribution in Mount’s Bay, Cornwall Abstract Unintentional by-catch in fishing gear is a significant cause of mortality of harbour porpoises in UK waters. Understanding the spatial distribution of harbour porpoises at fine scales and how this changes over time is essential when trying to understand where these lethal interactions might occur. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Evaluation of the forest composition in browsed Scots pine plantations

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Southern Swedish Forest Research Centre

    Författare :Carl Noyce; [2022]
    Nyckelord :browsing damage; forest owners; mera tall; moose; pine regeneration; Södra;

    Sammanfattning : Since the early 2000s browsing damage to Scots pine (Pinus Sylvestris) in the Götaland region of Sweden has been consistently estimated to be 15% per year, peaking at around 25% between 2009-2016, the highest of any region in the country. The Swedish Forest Agency has set a goal of achieving pine damage levels below 5% on average in the long-term, even if higher levels can be accepted in an individual year. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Power Reconstruction Uncertainties in European Pressurized Reactor Impact of Partial. Unavailability of Sensors

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Fysik

    Författare :Matthieu Causse; [2022]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : This study is part of a theme related to the physical tests performed on the core of nuclear reactors and particularly the EPR, a new French reactor under construction on the Flamanville site. The peaking factors of this reactor are continuously monitored by an instrumentation located both inside (collectrons) and outside (external fission chambers) the core. LÄS MER
