  1. 1. Control of carbon dioxide capture from biomass CHP plants : Designing a suitable control system to realize the flexible operation of the CO2 capture system

    Master-uppsats, Mälardalens universitet/Akademin för ekonomi, samhälle och teknik

    Författare :Tanmmay Rout; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Carbon capture; biomass fired combined heat and power plant; MEA based chemical absorption; flue gas; dynamic operation; PI controllers;

    Sammanfattning : This degree project studies the integration of carbon capture system into biomass fired combined heat and power (bio-CHP) plants. The key disturbances from bio-CHP plants include flue gas flow rate, carbon dioxide (CO2) concentration and available heat for the reboiler because the use of versatile biomass and the dynamic operation of CHP plants results in large fluctuations in the properties of flue gas and the heat input for CO2 capture. 2. 2. Simulation of stripper modifications for bioenergy carbon capture by absorption

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Kemiteknik

    Författare :Laia Villar I Comajoan; [2021]
    Nyckelord :BECCS; Carbon capture; Post-combustion absorption; Potassium carbonate; Energy Penalty; BECCS; Koldioxid infångning; Absorption efter förbränning; Kaliumkarbonat; Energistraff;

    Sammanfattning : Att koldioxidutsläppen neutraliseras är avgörande för att begränsa klimatförändringarna. Bioenergi i kombination med separation och lagring av koldioxid (BECCS) är en Teknik som kan generera negativa utsläpp. Det största hindret för dess storskaliga genomförande är de höga energikraven för processen. 3. 3. IMPLEMENTATION OF OXYFUEL COMBUSTION IN A WASTE INCINERATION CHP PLANT : A Techno-Economic Assessment

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Mälardalens högskola/Akademin för ekonomi, samhälle och teknik

    Författare :Mostafa Saleh; Anton Hedén Sandberg; [2021]
    Nyckelord :CCS; Oxyfuel Combustion; Carbon Capture; Gas Separation Techniques; Waste Combustion; Cost Assessment of CCS; ASU; CPU; Wet-FGR; Dry-FGR;

    Sammanfattning : Global energy demand is predicted to rise in the coming decades, necessitating a shift to renewable energy sources to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions. However, due to the inability to supply renewable energy around the clock, it is estimated that only by adding an important technology, carbon capture and storage (CCS), it could be possible to reduce 80% of the 1990s greenhouse gas emissions. 4. 4. The introduction of ‘Leniency Plus’ as a Tool for the European Commission in the Fight Against Cartels : -      A Study in the Development of the Commission’s Leniency Notice

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Juridiska institutionen

    Författare :Axel Resvik; [2015]
    Nyckelord :Leniency Plus; Leniency; Penalty Plus;

    Sammanfattning : Through the current public enforcement powers, the Commission has the possibility to request information and perform inspections in order to collect such evidence that can prove an infringement of Article 101 TFEU. However, undertakings involved in cartels, that are willing to inform the Commission of the existence of such activity, should not be deterred from doing so by the high fines which they might face. 5. 5. Game contingent claims

    Magister-uppsats, KTH/Matematisk statistik

    Författare :Daniel Eliasson; [2012]
    Nyckelord :Game contingent claims; game options; Israeli options; Dynkin games; zero-sum games; non-zero-sum games; Monte-Carlo simulation; pricing;

    Sammanfattning : Abstract Game contingent claims (GCCs), as introduced by Kifer (2000), are a generalization of American contingent claims where the writer has the opportunity to terminate the contract, and must then pay the intrinsic option value plus a penalty. In complete markets, GCCs are priced using no-arbitrage arguments as the value of a zero-sum stochastic game of the type described in Dynkin (1969). LÄS MER
