1. Known and unknown bioaccumulating per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances in pilot whales
Kandidat-uppsats, Örebro universitet/Institutionen för naturvetenskap och teknikSammanfattning : Per- and- polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) are widely used in commercial and industrial products and leach into the environment from different applications. PFASs poses an issue to both wildlife and humans because of different toxic properties. LÄS MER
2. Perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) and related chemicals in eggs from Sweden and China
Kandidat-uppsats, Örebro universitet/Institutionen för naturvetenskap och teknikSammanfattning : Dietary intake is one of the major routes of human exposure to perfluoroalkyl and/or polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). The objective of this study was to measure perfluorooctane sulfonic acid (PFOS), perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) and perfluorohexane sulfonic acid (PFHxS) in organic and conventional egg from Sweden (n=8, consisted of 4 pooled eggs and 4 individuals) and China (n=9, consisted of 4 pooled eggs and 5 individuals) and compare the concentrations of PFAS between the two categories (organic and conventional). 3. Global Priority Perfluoroalkyl Substances in Surface Waters:Establishing Baseline Levels on Regional Basis.
Master-uppsats, Örebro universitet/Institutionen för naturvetenskap och teknikSammanfattning : Perfluorooctane sulfonic acid (PFOS) has been regulated under Stockholm Convention in 2009, perfluorooctanoic acid (PFOA) was listed in 2019. Perfluorohexane sulfonic acid (PFHxS) is under review and could be included in 2021. LÄS MER
4. Groundwater Flow and Transport Modelling of PFASs in Åkersberga
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaperSammanfattning : Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFASs) are a group of man-made organic chemicals that have been commercially used since the 1950s in many consumer products, including impregnated textiles, impregnated paper, nonstick products (e.g., Teflon), cleaning agents, and in firefighting foams. 5. Effect of PFOS and HBCD on the lipid profiles of developing rainbow trout (Onchorhynchus mykiss) analyzed with UHPLC/Q-TOF-MS
Kandidat-uppsats, Örebro universitet/Institutionen för naturvetenskap och teknikSammanfattning : Perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) is widely used in industrial products and is potentially dangerous to the aquatic environment due to not being broken down whether by chemical or biological means, having a half-life of more than 41 years and disrupting hormones. Hexabromocyclododecane (HBCD) is the third most used brominated flame retardant and is of environmental concern as it bioaccumulates and magnifies in the food chain and is highly toxic to aquatic organisms.
