1. Numerical Solutions and Parameter Sensitivity of the Lorenz System
Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för teknikvetenskap (SCI)Sammanfattning : In chaos theory there are many different problems still unsolved. One of which is the optimization of infinite time average functionals on manifolds. To try one of the different tools to solve this problem we want to find stable manifolds in chaotic dynamical systems. LÄS MER
2. Improving image quality of a streak camera using periodic shadowing
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/FörbränningsfysikSammanfattning : Stray light suppression using a method inspired by lock-in amplification, called periodic shadowing, is examined and demonstrated for a measurement involving a streak camera. The experiment consists of resolving the fluorescent decay of the dye Rhodamine B (RhB) and examining both the rise and the decay of the fluorescence. LÄS MER
3. Development of Spectroscopic Measurements for Raman and Thomson Scattering Diagnostics ——Applications in Combustion and Plasma
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/FörbränningsfysikSammanfattning : This thesis work concerns methods for improved spectroscopy including stray-light suppression, dynamic range improvement and signal enhancement. These methods were applied in Raman and Thomson- scattering spectroscopy in combustion and plasma. LÄS MER
4. Fiber-based Stray Light Suppression in Spectrometers
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/FörbränningsfysikSammanfattning : Stray light is known as strong interference in spectroscopic measurements. With the creation of a novel kind of customized fibers, manufactured by the fiber optics group in Jena, Germany, a general experimental solution to this problem is possible. LÄS MER
5. Development of an Ultra-Sensitive Spectrometer
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Förbränningsfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : A high dynamic range imaging (HDRI) spectroscopic instrument was designed and developed in this thesis. Achieving higher measurement accuracy in imaging spectroscopic measurements require both a suppression of the background light (stray light) as well as HDR imaging. LÄS MER
