1. Sensorless Control of Synchronous Reluctance Machines and Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines for Pump Applications
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)Sammanfattning : Energy efficiency in electric machines is both environmentally and economically important. Water pumps with an integrated Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) and a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine (PMSM) have challenged the status quo of the Induction Machine (IM) for water pumps. LÄS MER
2. Additively Manufactured Rare Earth Free Permanent Magnets
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Tillämpad materialvetenskap; Uppsala universitet/Oorganisk kemiSammanfattning : It’s well known that MnAl(C) material consists of a metastable phase (τ) with promising ferromagnetic properties, produced either by controlled cooling from the high-temperature hexagonal ε-phase or rapid cooling that freezes the ε-phase followed by low-temperature annealing. Due to the high cooling rates involved, additive manufacturing (AM) especially selective laser melting (SLM), has been identified as a possible method to retain the high-temperature ε-phase, hence containing a potential capacity to produce permanent magnets upon low-temperature annealing. 4. Real-Time Rotor Temperature Estimation Method for Interior Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines : A method using a Lumped Parameter Thermal Network in combination with an estimation algorithm: implementation and comparison of a Dual Kalman Filter and a Dual Observer
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)Sammanfattning : Accurate knowledge of the temperature of a Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine is of high importance, not only to ensure safe operation and improve control of the operating point, but also to avoid irreversible demagnetization of rare-earth permanent magnets. However, direct measurement using thermal sensors is not suitable for high volume and low-cost applications, due to costly sensor installation and maintenance, and therefore, the magnet temperature needs instead to be estimated. 5. Simulations of stray radiation in the European XFEL undulators with the Geant4 toolkit
Kandidat-uppsats, Stockholms universitet/FysikumSammanfattning : The European XFEL is an X-ray free electron laser research facility that generates ultrashort, high intensity flashes. Three SASE undulator systems are made of undulator segments and intersection components. LÄS MER
