    Sammanfattning : Introduction: Functional magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) is a non-invasive method which uses a combination of a strong magnetic field and radio frequency pulses to image magnetic difference between oxygenated and deoxygenated blood in the human brain.     Sammanfattning : The aim of this study is to examine how the need for belonging and search for an identity manifest themselves in the autobiographical works of two gay contemporary writers: Abdellah Taïa and Édouard Louis.
