1. Femtosecond Photoemission Electron Microscopy of Indium Arsenide Nanowires
Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Synkrotronljusfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionenSammanfattning : PhotoEmission Electron Microscopy (PEEM) has proven to be a successful method for examining the electronic characteristics of nanostructures. The experiments relevant for the following report were conducted using a combination of PEEM and a femtosecond pulsed laser to determine the electrical characteristics of Indium Arsenide nanowire of crystal structure varying between wurtzite and zinc blend. 2. Photoemission electron microscopy of localized surface plasmons in silver nanostructures: Experiments and simulations
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/SynkrotronljusfysikSammanfattning : In this work, spatially resolved localized surface plasmons (LSPs) in individual silver nanocubes and nanoellipsoids are imaged with a photoemission electron microscope (PEEM). Using broadband laser pulses with photon energies below the work function threshold of the material, multiphoton photoemission (MPPE) processes coupled to the LSPs governs the strong enhancement of the plasmonic near-field detected in the PEEM. 3. Surface Studies on Industrial Aluminium Alloys
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/SynkrotronljusfysikSammanfattning : Aluminium alloys are used in a wide range of applications due to their high tensile strength concomitant with low density. Additionally, aluminium alloys form a naturally occurring and passivating oxide layer, which leads to high corrosion and weathering resistance. LÄS MER
4. Scanning Tunneling Microscopy and Low-Energy Electron Diffraction Studies of Quantum Wires on Si(332)
Magister-uppsats, Karlstads universitet/Fakulteten för teknik- och naturvetenskapSammanfattning : In this master thesis I have investigated one-dimensional nanostructures, so called quantum wires. The goal was to grow them in situ on a stepped silicon surface and thereafter do several kinds of measurements, like Scanning Tunneling Microscopy, Low-Energy Electron Diffraction and Photoemission.
