  1. 21. Influence of starch botanical source on aqueous two-phase system phase behavior and starch microspheres preparation

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Livsmedelsteknik och nutrition (master)

    Författare :Denis Oskolkov; [2022]
    Nyckelord :starch microspheres; acid hydrolysis; DSC; microscopy; potato; barley; corn; pharmaceutical technology; Technology and Engineering; Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : Background: Starch is a well-studied material, produced by plants in granules to store energy. Starch finds a lot of applications in day-to-day life, in the food and pharmaceutical industry. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Protoplast isolation and transformation in sweetpotato

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Bioteknik; Lunds universitet/Bioteknik (master)

    Författare :Jakob Steiner; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Protoplast; Sweetpotato; Isolation; Transformation; Regeneration; Callus; Propagation; In-vitro; Solanales; Celluase; Cell; Plant; Leaf; Petiole; Biotechnology; Biology and Life Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Med målet att utvärdera en mindre restriktiv teknik för genmodifiering i sötpotatis (Ipomoea batatas), både gällande ekonomiska begränsningar såväl som det tid och energi bemödande som ett sådant projekt oundvikligen påbrår, har vi arbetat flitigt med att etablera optimerade parameters för protoplast isolation och fortsättningsvis också utforskat lovande protokoll för transformation och regeneration av dessa protoplaster, för att slutligen framställa nya genotyper. Således har en extensiv litteraturundersökning av tidigare publicerade protokoll, varav explantor från sötpotatis men också relaterade arter inom Solanales ordningen har diskuterats, utfärdades varefter datan analyserades via diverse avancerade statistiska modeller. 3. 23. Potential of waste-derived VFAs-bearing effluents as an external carbon source for MBBR denitrification of domestic wastewater

    Magister-uppsats, Högskolan i Borås/Akademin för textil, teknik och ekonomi

    Författare :Seyed Reza Manafi Khosroshahi; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Volatile fatty acids; Denitrification; Wastewater treatment; Biological nutrient removal; Nitrate removal; Electron accepter; Carbon source; Electron doner; Moving bed biofilm reactor; Nanofiltration; VFA concentration; Discharge standards; Carriers; acclimatization; VFAs; MMBR; NF; WWTP; BNR;

    Sammanfattning : In conventional wastewater treatment plants, methanol, ethanol, and acetate are used as carbon source for the denitrification process in the biological nutrient removal. However, growing concern regarding economical costs and carbon footprints from the fossil-based production of these chemicals have forced the companies to look for other alternatives. LÄS MER

  4. 24. Evaluating Sentinel-2 based phenology and productivity data for crop monitoring in Swedish agricultural fields

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :Daniel Erlström; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Geography; Phenology; Agriculture; Yield; Remote Sensing; Sentinel-2; Productivity; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Sentinel-2 based data provides interesting opportunities for land monitoring and applications in agriculture. High-Resolution Vegetation Phenology and Productivity (HR-VPP) is derived from Sentinel-2 data and offers up to 13 metrics. LÄS MER

  5. 25. The effect of various nutrient media on the captured diversity of culturable seed endophytes in European beech (Fagus sylvatica L.)

    Master-uppsats, SLU/Southern Swedish Forest Research Centre

    Författare :Kinga Stolarek; [2022]
    Nyckelord :fungal endophytes; seeds-associated fungi; Fagus sylvatica L; nutrient media; tree pathogens;

    Sammanfattning : The associations of fungal endophytes with trees are poorly understood, especially within tree seeds. Recent molecular studies show that tree seeds harbour highly diverse fungal communities, including potential plant pathogens that could be introduced to new areas when seeds are exchanged. LÄS MER
