    Sammanfattning : The aim of this bachelor thesis is to examine the implicit aesthetic disposition of seeking to obtain an aristocratic habitus by acquiring furniture and textiles designed by Josef Frank. By applying the Bourdieusian theory of legitimate manners and discourse analysis on newspaper articles, this paper asks whether how the aesthetic disposition and pedantic disposition differ in manners of acquiring his furniture and textiles.     Sammanfattning : With the discourse analysis as framework, this study focuses on the ethos, the representation of the Other and the argumentation in the discourse of religious controversy of the protestant Philippe Duplessis-Mornay. The corpus, which consists of the prefaces of two editions of the Traité de l’eucharistie (1598 and 1604), was subject to a systematic survey of the personal pronouns je, nous, vous as well as references to Duplessis-Mornay’s direct opponents, in a diachronic perspective (the two editions have been compared).     Sammanfattning : This essay examines the way in which the traditional form and concept of the muqaddima, as developed in the arabic tradition, is employed by lebanese marxist scholar Husayn Mroueh (1910-1987) in his work on the arabic-islamic heritage, al-naza̔āt al-mādiyya fī al-falsafa al-̔arabiyya al-islāmiyya. The theoretical framework for the study is provided by Peter Freimarks study Das Vorwort als literarische Form in der arabischen Literatur, which examines the development of the muqaddima-form in the classical arabic era.
