The Grimm’s fairy tales serve as the foundation of many other stories which promote stereotypes like woman passiveness, submissive beauty, while men are put on a pedestal for being active and violent at the same time.     Sammanfattning : This paper, on the identities shown in one of the cameos in Empress Josephine’s pearl and cameo diadem, has first of all focused on the mythological characters, and thereafter raised the question if these are to be seen as an allegory for people from the time. The process of identi-fication has followed the three levels in Panofsky’s method for analysing art, where the first and second levels consist of already known material from the Bernadotte Library, Royal Palace in Stockholm and the jeweller house of Chaumet (former Nitot et Fils) in Paris.     Sammanfattning : The late Viking age weaves of Överhogdal in Härjedalen, North central Sweden, the further place of origin unknown, C14-dated to AD 1040-1170 consist of three narrative and one decorative specimen. The current study interprets weave I a and b by combining it with the Völsunga saga from the 13th century as well as with the poetic Edda and Snorre Sturlasson’s Edda and the Nibelungen song finding close relations between the weave motif and different versions of the Sigurd/Sigfried narration on some ten occasions.     Sammanfattning : Princess Diana, or Lady Diana Spencer as she was called at the time,  took the whole world by storm when she at only 20 years of age married in to the British royal family, and thereby became a popular target for the media. It was through the media that people all over the world got to know and love Diana, and when she died in a terrible car accident in Paris, France, in the year of 1997, people mourned the loss of their beloved princess, and blamed the media for causing her tragic death for the chance of getting some photos of her.
