  1. 1. An anthem for Europe: Comparing historical appropriations of Beethoven's Ode to Joy

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Europastudier

    Författare :Dominic Tscherny; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony; political appropriation of music; Žižek’s empty container; historical narrative; political symbolism; European Studies; Languages and Literatures;

    Sammanfattning : Since its composition two centuries ago in 1824, Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony (Ode to Joy) has been heralded the world over not only as a great work of art, but also as a symbol of political importance. In Germany, it was lionised as the embodiment of a national spirit, first during the Franco-Prussian war, then as a prize of the Nazi repertoire; in Rhodesia, it became the national anthem of a far-right white ethno-state, while on the far-left, it occupied a rare position of Western revolutionary music in China. 2. 2. Investigation of stability in high salt polymer electrolytes for sodium batteries

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Strukturkemi

    Författare :Fengnan Yuan; [2022]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : Poly(trimethylene carbonate)–sodium bis(fluorosulfonyl)imide system shows a promising performance as polymer-in-salt electrolytes. The polymer electrolytes with salts concentration from 62% to 71% were tested through DSC, FTIR, EIS and constant current cycling. The solubility of the salts varies in different salts in PTMC. 3. 3. Prussian White In Sodium- Ion Batteries : An evaluation of organic and inorganic coatings on active material particles

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Philip Jansson; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Sodium-ion batteries; Prussian White; Coating; Surface engineering; Zinc oxide; Polyaniline; Natriumjonbatterier; Berlinervitt; Beläggning; Ytmodifiering; Zinkoxid; Polyanilin;

    Sammanfattning : Emerging markets in electrochemical energy storage, such as stationary grid storage, coupled with future concerns over the availability of lithium, places sodium-ion battery (SIB) technologies at a unique position to enter the market as a commercially viable alternative. Current shortcomings in the performance of cathode materials in SIBs would necessarily need to be addressed if this technology is to compete with existing commercial lithium-ion battery counterparts. 4. 4. Recycling of Prussian White

    Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för kemi - Ångström

    Författare :Agnes-Matilda Mattsson; Towa Eriksson; Caroline Löwnertz; Marielle Holmbom; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Prussian white; Prussian Blue Analogue; Sodium Ferrocyanide; Sodium Ion-battery; Recycling of batteries; Recycling of cathode materials;

    Sammanfattning : The aim of this project was to find a recycling route for Prussian white. During the experimental part, one recycling method was tested using sodium hydroxide and from this a method for re-synthesis of Prussian white was conducted as well as a method for re-crystallisation of sodium ferrocyanide.
