1. Robust non-Abelian geometric phases on three-qubit spin codes
Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/MaterialteoriSammanfattning : Quantum holonomies are non-Abelian Geometric Phases predominantly observed in adiabatic, non-adiabatic, or measurement-based quantum evolutions. Their significance lies in their potential utility within quantum computing due to their robustness against noise throughout the parameter path. LÄS MER
2. Probabilistic Exact Inversion of 2-qubit Bipartite Unitary Operations using Local Operations and Classical Communication
Master-uppsats, KTH/FysikSammanfattning : A distributed quantum computer holds the potential to emulate a larger quantumcomputer by being partitioned it into smaller modules where local operations (LO)can be applied, and classical communication (CC) can be utilized between thesemodules. Finding algorithms under LOCC restrictions is crucial for leveraging thecapabilities of distributed quantum computing, This thesis explores probabilisticexact LOCC supermaps, that maps 2-qubit bipartite unitary operations to its inver-sion and complex conjugation. 3. A Comparative Investigation of Classical Random and Quantum Walks in Terms of Algorithms, Implementation, and Characteristics
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för teknikvetenskap (SCI)Sammanfattning : In recent years, there has been a significant development in high performance computing, driven by advances in hardware and software technology. The performance of the computers to the present has improved in accordance with Moore’s law, on the other hand, it seems to be reaching the limits in the near future. LÄS MER
4. Constructing a Modular System for Storing and Serving Data from Quantum Computers
Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för data- och informationsteknikSammanfattning : Quantum computers are computing devices with the potential to advance multiple scientific and industrial fields. One of the actors working on the advancement of quantum computers is theWallenberg Centre for Quantum Technology (WACQT). LÄS MER
5. A C++ Matrix library for computing the Gateaux derivative of the Fermi-Dirac operator
Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Avdelningen för beräkningsvetenskapSammanfattning : Computing the Fermi-Dirac operator is done through recursive polynomial expansions, using the SP2 and SP2 Acc algorithms. The Gateaux derivative is computed for both schemes by mapping the zeroth and first order matrices onto a block upper triangular matrix, which is implemented in Python using Numpy arrays to store full matrices and in C++ by first constructing a basic matrix library to use as blocks in a later created block upper triangular matrix library which only directly references two blocks in a 2 x 2 block matrix.
