6. A coupling method using CFD, radiative models and a surface model to simulate the micro-climate
Master-uppsats, KTH/Teknisk mekanikSammanfattning : The increasing demand for energy, depletion of fossil fuels, rising global warming, and greenhouse gas emissions have stimulated the need for widespread development and adoption of renewable energy sources (RES) worldwide. Among these sources, solar energy has emerged as a major contender to meet the growing demand. LÄS MER
7. Rust programming language as an alternative to C for RAN management applications
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)Sammanfattning : Since the first official release of Rust 1.0 in 2015, the language has become one of the most well-liked programming languages among developers and has emerged as a competitor to other systems programming languages such as C and C++. 8. Early Stage Design of a Prefilmer at Siemens Energy : Numerical and Experimental Methodology
Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Mekanisk värmeteori och strömningsläraSammanfattning : Design of atomizers for gas-turbine purposes are an important ordeal. The per-formance of the atomizer directly impacts the efficiency of the gas-turbine, andconsequently, the energy extracted from the turbine. Furthermore, the design ofthe atomizer can have an impact on reducing toxic emissions. LÄS MER
9. Active flow control of the turbulent boundary layer over a NACA4412 wing profile for skin friction drag reduction
Master-uppsats, KTH/Teknisk mekanikSammanfattning : In the context of building a framework for active flow control of turbulent boundary layers in wings, a set of large-eddy simulation (LES) are implemented in OpenFOAM. The flow around a NACA4412 wing profile is simulated at 5° angle of attack and Re_c = 400˙000. LÄS MER
10. CFD Analysis of the Flow Around a Paraglider Wing
Master-uppsats, KTH/Teknisk mekanikSammanfattning : In this study, the characteristics of the flow around a paraglider wing were investigated through the use of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations by solving both Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes equations and Delayed Detached Eddy Simulations were employed. This allowed the observation of how the unique shape of the canopy of a paraglider can influence the behaviour of the flow and how aerodynamic hysteresis can manifest on this sort of wing. LÄS MER
