    Sammanfattning : The aim of this research was to study how pupils in the ninth grade in elementary school in Sweden choose their further education in the Swedish "gymnasium" and if anything influences them in their decision. I did my research at two schools in Helsingborg: "Magnus Stenbocksskolan" located in a so called "rich" area and "Gustav Adolfsskolan" located in a more "poor" area where many people of foreign origin lives.
