  1. 1. Template-assisted Electrodeposition and Model Electrodes Studied by Electron Microscopy and High Energy X-ray Diffraction

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Fasta tillståndets fysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Författare :Hanna Sjö; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : There is a great interest in studying detailed changes at electrode surfaces during electrochemical processes to better understand the electrochemical reactions at the electrode surface-liquid interface and improve the electrode efficiency. The Au(110) surface has a known (1$\times$2) missing row reconstruction in vacuum conditions, which can change into higher-order (1$\times$3), (1$\times$5), and (1$\times$7) depending on environment. 2. 2. Odensjön - A new varved lake sediment record from southern Sweden

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionen

    Författare :Hanna Hertzman; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Varved lake sediment; late Holocene; organic sediments; diatoms; land-use history; southern Sweden; palaeolimnology; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Annually laminated (varved) sediments provide opportunities to reconstruct climate change and human impact on the environment with high temporal resolution. Depending on the character of the varves, such sediments can provide insight into the delivery of both autochthonous and allochthonous material from the lake and its catch- ment and answer questions regarding both regional and local responses to climate- and land-use changes. 3. 3. Investigation on liquid liquid phase separation of lysozyme by dynamic light scattering

    Master-uppsats, Stockholms universitet/Fysikum

    Författare :Hanna-Friederike Poggemann; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Protein; protein dynamics; Liquid-liquid phase separation; DLS;

    Sammanfattning : The liquid-liquid phase separation (LLPS) of biomolecules is a phenomenon which received a lot of attention in the last years because it is not only related to theformation of membraneless organelles but also to neurodegenerative diseases. Lysozyme is a globular protein that undergoes LLPS in a buffer salt system andfor that it is well investigated with several techniques like microscopy, dynamic lightscattering (DLS) or small-angle X-ray scattering. 4. 4. Feasibility of Enhanced Geothermal Systems in the Precambrian crystalline basement in SW Scania, Sweden

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionen

    Författare :Hanna Kervall; [2021]
    Nyckelord :EGS; deep drilling; geothermal; petrology; petrophysical properties; Sveconorwegian; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : The ability to evaluate the geothermal potential at a depth of five to six kilometres in the crystalline bedrock is crucial for the EGS-technology to be utilized in the future. This work focuses primarily on presenting expected geological conditions at great depths in southwestern Scania. The study is based on information from E. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Reconstructing Weathering and Climate Trends on Loess Deposits in NW France Using XRF Analysis

    Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Hanna Andersson; [2021]
    Nyckelord :geochemistry; loess; XRF; weathering; climate change; N-W France;

    Sammanfattning : Analyzing climate changes by loess sediment deposits formed after the last glacial maximum gives us information about how the environment was dynamically before humans physically could record climate changes. Sampling and analyzing loess from different places in the world give us a more reliable view of when events and changes in climate took place. LÄS MER
