1. Simulation and Experimental Based Hardenability Evaluation of Chromium Alloyed Powder Metal Steels
Master-uppsats, KTH/MaterialvetenskapSammanfattning : Powder metallurgy is a branch of metal forming technology where metal powders are used to manufacture parts and components. It is a flexible and economical technique for manufacturing complicated shapes. This present work focuses on press and sinter technology and forms a part of Höganäs’s efforts of modelling hardenability through quenching. LÄS MER
2. Multiscale mechanical modeling of paperboard
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Lunds universitet/Hållfasthetslära; Lunds universitet/Institutionen för byggvetenskaperSammanfattning : This thesis considers an investigation into the possibilities of creating a reasonably accurate multiscale material model for paperboard, with geometry based on X-ray scans of small paperboard samples. The modeling takes place in the software Multiscale Designer by Altair Engineering Inc. LÄS MER
3. Micro-architectured materials for noise and vibration control in high voltage products – design and modelling
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Uppsala universitet/Tillämpad mekanikSammanfattning : Many Hitachi ABB Power Grids (HAPG) products vibrate and emit noise, but legal limitations of these parameters fuel the development of energy absorption methods used on products. Methods such as Constrained Layer Damping (CLD). LÄS MER
4. Methods for modelling lattice structures
Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållfasthetslära (Avd.)Sammanfattning : The application of lattice structures have become increasingly popular as additive manufacturing (AM) opens up the possibility to manufacture complex configurations. However, modelling such structures can be computationally expensive. LÄS MER
5. Micromechanical study of PFZ in aluminum alloys
Master-uppsats, KTH/Hållfasthetslära (Inst.)Sammanfattning : There are a number of experiments showing that the ductility of aluminum alloys decreases during age-hardening heat treatment. Observing the grains of age-hardened aluminum alloys at the micron scale, one can notice that there are precipitate-free zones (PFZs) along the grain boundaries. LÄS MER
