    Sammanfattning : The purpose of this thesis aimed at trying to find out why the Sweden Democrats have increased their support, to become the second largest party in the Swedish parliament, while, the Danish People’s Party, has lost the majority of their support after being the second largest party in the Danish parliament to almost falling out a few years later. Is it possible for the Sweden Democrats to share the same fate? To find this out, we’ve decided to conduct this study using a qualitative comparative method, with a Most Similar System Design.     Sammanfattning : The research on the success of right-wing radical parties is extensive, not the least in terms of reasons for the success but also findings about the parties' reduced trust in democracy in comparison to other parties. Researchers often link the Sweden Democrats to right-wing radicalism, which makes us wonder if SD sympathizers' trust in democratic institutions is consistent with the party's success? Considering this research gap, the purpose of the study is to examine what the possible incorporation of the Sweden Democrats into Swedish democracy has meant for SD sympathizers' democratic values. While previous research has predominantly focused on immigration, by virtue of grievances, as a driver of radical right-wing support, this study explores whether increases in the employment ratio of women can also be perceived as a threat and contribute to this support.
