1. Creating a Virtual Tyre Temperature Sensor
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Matematisk statistikSammanfattning : To accurately determine the efficiency and range of an electric vehicle, one must be able to estimate the rolling resistance of the car. This is currently done using standardized methods developed under laboratory settings, where transient aspects and effects of varying temperatures are excluded. LÄS MER
2. A literature study of rolling resistance and its affecting factors
Kandidat-uppsats, KTH/Teknisk mekanikSammanfattning : Rolling resistance is a considerable factor in energy consumption for all rolling vehicles. A proper understanding of the phenomenon is an important aspect in order to design energy efficient vehicles. LÄS MER
3. Design and evaluation of a regenerativeshock absorber
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för teknikvetenskap och matematikSammanfattning : This thesis was made together with Syntronic, a leading design house specializing in advanced productand systems development. One of the major trends in vehicle industry today is the emergence of electricvehicles. LÄS MER
4. Development of a Downscaled Hovering Device for a Hospital Bed to Reduce Rolling Resistance
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för kemi, bioteknologi och hälsa (CBH)Sammanfattning : Fall-related injuries are common problems in elderly care in particular. These can cause brain damage and hip fractures, which in many cases can be serious. To reduce or mitigate the damage, various safety measures have been developed. One of them concerns a change in the surroundings, more specifically, the floor. LÄS MER
5. SUSTAINABLE LUBRICATION FOR FUTURE TRANSMISSIONS : Micropitting performance of Glycerol-based lubricants
Master-uppsats, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för teknikvetenskap och matematikSammanfattning : Achieving sustainable lubrication by using environmentally friendly formulated lubricants has became an essential component of the transition process from fossil-powered vehicles to electrified transportation. Mixtures, or aqueous solutions of molecules such as polyhydroxy alcohols, and glycols usually known as green lubricants make it possible to achieve low friction coefficients under different lubrication conditions, which constitutes a potential alternative to improve the tribological performance of moving parts in automotive systems, at the same time that the environmental requirements are satisfied.
