    Sammanfattning : Since its inception, information and communication technology has diffused at an incredible pace, to the point that the poorest quintile of the world's population is now more likely to have access to a mobile phone than to a toilet or clean water (World Bank, 2016). This paper examines if and to what extent the introduction and diffusion of mobile broadband technology affects income inequality within countries measured in terms of Gini coefficient, quintile income share, and the absolute income of each quintile.
