    Sammanfattning : This thesis investigates a process known as heat pickup which occurs in vehicle cooling system hoses. Heat pickup is an unwanted side effect of temperature differences in a car underhood compartment, whereby excess heat is tranferred into the coolant running through the cooling system hoses, affecting its operating temperature.
