  1. 1. Analysis of Trends and Patterns of Droughts Using Satellite Data and Climate Model Simulations

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Teknisk vattenresurslära

    Författare :Lisa Damberg; [2013]
    Nyckelord :drought; remote sensing; climate models; CMIP5; SPI; trends; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Numerous studies indicate that the frequency of extreme events such as droughts have increased particularly in the 20th century. Droughts are considered among the most costly natural disasters due to their impacts on crop yield, infrastructure, industry, and tourism. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Design and Characterization of Dual Polarized feed for Satellite Communication Antenna

    Master-uppsats, Fysik och elektroteknik; Tekniska högskolan

    Författare :Fayyaz Bashir; [2012]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : So far, extensive research has been made, and researchers have shown that use of septum polarizer for feed designing not only provides the dual polarization but also improve the input reflection and cross-polar isolation performance of the feed. In this thesis design of the feed for satellite communication antenna has been investigated, which provides the transmission in right hand circular polarization and reception in left hand circular polarization. 3. 3. MODIS NDVI satellite data for assessing drought in Somalia during the period 2000-2011

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi och ekosystemvetenskap

    Författare :Mohammed Alwesabi; [2012]
    Nyckelord :remote sensing; vegetation index; drought; Somalia; geography; physical geography; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis studied the drought monitoring and assessing in Somalia environment during the period 2000-2011 with more details about the drought in 2010- 2011. Time series analysis of remote sensing data as well as rainfall data were used to achieve the aim of the study. LÄS MER
