  1. 1. Dynamic Risk Management in Air Traffic Management System Failures

    Magister-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Avdelningen för Riskhantering och Samhällssäkerhet

    Författare :Nick Lowth; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Air Traffic Control; Uncertainty; Risk Management; Air Traffic Management; Resilience; Emergence; Trade-offs; FLMU06; Social Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Context This research looks at managing uncertainty and recovery processes following failure of a sociotechnical system. The provision of Air Traffic Services (ATS) is an essential service that must continue to function supporting at a minimum; medical flights, search and rescue operations, humanitarian aid, State and military flights (as demonstrated during the recent global pandemic). 2. 2. Human-Multi-Drone Interaction in Search and Rescue Systems under High Cognitive Workload

    Master-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för datavetenskap

    Författare :Johanna Ahlskog; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Unmanned aerial vehicle; human-drone interaction; cognitive workload; trust; search and rescue; drone swarm; situational awareness; multi-drone systems;

    Sammanfattning : Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), often referred to as drones, have seen increased use in search and rescue (SAR) missions. Traditionally, these missions involve manual control of each drone for aerial surveillance. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Design of a 2-D Lattice Flower Constellation for Earth observation applying the twin satellite concept

    Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för elektroteknik och datavetenskap (EECS)

    Författare :Julia Martín-Fuertes Brañas; [2023]
    Nyckelord :2D Lattice Flower Constellation design; number of satellites; number of planes; revisit time; coverage; optimized constellation; target list; twin satellite concept; FreeFlyer; 2D Lattice Flower Constellation design; antal satelliter; antal plan; återbesökstid; täckning; optimerad konstellation; mållista; tvilling-satellit-koncept; FreeFlyer;

    Sammanfattning : Events such as forest fires or floods are a danger to our Earth’s environment and the people living in it. The sooner they can be detected, the less damage they can cause. An idea arises: use satellites to monitor the Earth and relay information to prevention and rescue organizations in a very short time, regardless of accessibility from ground. LÄS MER

  4. 4. The Mediterranean Sea as a Site of Enforced Disappearances? - International Responsibility of European States in the Context of Migration

    Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Lunds universitet/Juridiska institutionen; Lunds universitet/Juridiska fakulteten

    Författare :Erika Josefsson; [2023]
    Nyckelord :public international law; migration; Mediterranean Sea; human rights law; enforced disappearances; ECHR; Law and Political Science;

    Sammanfattning : This thesis explores the question of whether European States, with a specific emphasis on European Union (EU) Member States, can be held responsible for the enforced disappearance of migrants in the Mediterranean Sea under the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR). Following the migration crisis of 2015, EU policy and measures on migration revealed a strong focus on protecting the external border of the EU, rather than prioritizing the lives of migrants. 5. 5. Benchmarking a 1 kW hybrid hydrogen fuel cell system

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för energivetenskaper

    Författare :Jonathan Envall; [2023]
    Nyckelord :PEMFC; fuel cell; UAV; hybrid; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV's) offer great versatility in the tasks that they may perform and they are today used in many sectors. The H24LEO project, administered by the Lund University School of Aviation, aims to develop and demonstrate a hybrid proton-exchange membrane fuel cell-powered UAV to aid in search and rescue operations performed by the Swedish Maritime Administration, and reduce the greenhouse gas emissions compared to similar work performed by helicopters.
