  1. 1. Peak Load Shaving Strategies of an Office Building : A Case Study at AirSon

    Master-uppsats, Högskolan i Halmstad/Akademin för företagande, innovation och hållbarhet

    Författare :Azin Farzam; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Shifting Peak Load; Electricity Reduction; Measuring Peak Load; Electricity Efficiency; Building Management System; Electricity Consumption.;

    Sammanfattning : Introduction: The global demand for renewable energy is expected to grow annually due to rising electricity consumption and economic and regulatory incentives. Efficient consumption and management of electricity consumption can support this trend (shifting from fossil resources to renewable resources) and benefit companies economically by reducing peak loads, reducing subscription costs, and protecting companies' power systems and networks. 2. 2. The Role of Functional Traits and Trade-offs in Seasonal Succession of Phytoplankton Community Structuring : A numerical investigation of resource acquisition traits of Lake Constance

    Master-uppsats, Umeå universitet/Institutionen för ekologi, miljö och geovetenskap

    Författare :Ayesha Nagahage; [2024]
    Nyckelord :Phytoplankton; resource acquisition; traits; trade-off; resource limitation;

    Sammanfattning : Long-term ecological research in deep lakes offers valuable insights into understanding changes in trophic states and organization of phytoplankton assemblages. Utilizing five decades of phytoplankton taxonomic trait data from pre-alpine Lake Constance, a confirmed negative relationship was found between phosphate and light affinity at the annual community trait level. 3. 3. FROM SPACE TO THE SUBSURFACE. Examining Relations Between Vegetation Indices and Local Groundwater Storage.

    Master-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Gustav Antonsson; [2023-11-06]
    Nyckelord :;

    Sammanfattning : This study aimed to examine the relationship between vegetation indices, NDVI and NDWI, and groundwater levels in the county of Kalmar, utilizing correlation and regression analysis. Further, by examining related geospatial features the study aimed to interpret the statistical outcomes to identify significant temporal and spatial patterns. LÄS MER

  4. 4. INVESTIGATING THE COVARIANCE BETWEEN RAINFALL AND MALE ELEPHANT MOVEMENT - To Reduce Human-Elephant Conflict

    Kandidat-uppsats, Göteborgs universitet / Institutionen för biologi och miljövetenskap; Göteborgs universitet / Institutionen för biologi och miljövetenskap

    Författare :Sara Ros; [2023-06-22]
    Nyckelord :Loxodonta africana; Elephants; Botswana; Human-Elephant Conflict; HEC; HumanWildlife Conflict; HWC; Conservation; Musth; Bulls; Rainfall;

    Sammanfattning : Human-wildlife conflict threatens the survival of a range of species, including the savannah elephant (Loxodonta africana). Villages bordering the Makgadikgadi Pans National Park in Botswana are among the most affected by human-elephant conflict, and it is crucial to identify contributing factors to develop mitigation strategies. 5. 5. Skiddestinationers omställning från vinter till året-runt : En balansgång mellan olika intressen i en destinationsutvecklingsprocess

    Kandidat-uppsats, Karlstads universitet/Institutionen för geografi, medier och kommunikation (from 2013)

    Författare :Johanna Jansson; Sofie Jordskogen; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Destination development; seasonal tourism; planning; sustainable tourism development; Destinationsutveckling; säsongsbetonad turism; planering; hållbar turismutveckling;

    Sammanfattning : Syftet med uppsatsen är att undersöka hur skiddestinationsaktörer arbetar strategiskt hållbart i omställningen till året runt-destination. För att uppfylla syftet ämnar uppsatsen besvara frågor kring omvandlingsprocessen som behandlar möjligheter och utmaningar för en destination samt aktörers hantering av kommersiella kontra miljömässiga intressen.
