In order for the floating to be as efficient as possible, with a minimum of timber getting stuck, many rivers were cleared.     Sammanfattning : Studiens syfte är att jämföra hur regionen EU skildras i åtta samhällsläroböcker för gymnasiet från 1994 till 2014 och undersöka huruvida läroböckerna förhåller sig kritiskt, neutralt, positivt; samt analysera förändringar över tid. För att genomföra studien har tre kategorier konstruerats i syfte att systematisera det empiriska materialet med hänsyn till om läroböckerna skildrar EU på ett positivt, objektivt/neutralt eller ett kritiskt sätt.
