16. Geomechanical testing of non-hardening grout : for determination of flowability and strength properties
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Luleå tekniska universitet/GeoteknologiSammanfattning : Due to an increasing amount of aging tendencies in Swedish embankment dams, failures such as internal erosion has become a more common problem. Internal erosion is a phenomenon where certain soil material within the embankment dam is removed, often over a longer period of time. LÄS MER
17. Glued connection for TCC slabs : Experimental and Numerical investigation
Master-uppsats, Linnéuniversitetet/Institutionen för byggteknik (BY)Sammanfattning : Timber-concrete composite (TCC) structures are becoming more popular in several industrial applications as an efficient method for optimizing the structural performance and the cost of construction as well as lowering the emissions of carbon dioxide. TCC floors are more sustainable than pure concrete floors and more resistant to vibrations and excessive deflections than pure wooden floors. LÄS MER
18. CFD Based External Heat Transfer Coefficient Predictions on a Transonic Film-Cooled Gas Turbine Guide Vane : A Computational Fluid Dynamics Study on the Von Karman Institute LS94 Test Case
Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Mekanisk värmeteori och strömningsläraSammanfattning : The turbine inlet guide vanes of a gas-turbine are subjected to extreme hot gas temperatures which increases the risk of mechanical failure and overall reduces the component lifespan. Hence, it is of great interest for gas-turbine manufacturers to establish methods for accurately estimating the temperature distribution along the vane surface. LÄS MER
19. Strengthening of non-composite bridges by Partial Composite Action
Uppsats för yrkesexamina på avancerad nivå, Luleå tekniska universitet/Institutionen för samhällsbyggnad och naturresurserSammanfattning : A common bridge type is the steel-concrete bridge where the concrete deck is built over steel girders. In many earlier designs the bridge type was often built as non-composite, which means that the concrete deck and the steel girder has no shear connection at the steel-concrete interface and therefore bend as individual components. 20. Rheology of dense particle suspensions in linear over-damped flow
Master-uppsats, KTH/Strömningsmekanik och Teknisk AkustikSammanfattning : Suspensions are composed of mixtures of particles and fluid and are omnipresent in natural phenomena and in industrial processes. While hydrodynamic interactions or lubrication forces between the particles are important in the dilute regime, they become of lesser significance when the concentration is increased, and direct particle contacts become dominant in the rheological response of concentrated suspensions, particularly those close to the maximum volume fraction where the suspension ceases to flow.
