  1. 1. Design och syntes av potentiella inhibitorer för galektin-1

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Kemiska institutionen

    Författare :Victoria Ullbin; [2022]
    Nyckelord :galektin-1; inhibitor; galektin; cancer; organic chemistry; Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : Galectin-1 is a member of the carbohydrate-binding protein family galectins. Galectins are involved in the immune system. However, in cancer growth, galectin-1 is overproduced to not make the immune system respond. Therefore, inhibitors of the protein were synthesized to make the immune system approach the cancer and respond. LÄS MER

  2. 2. Aqueous self-assembly behaviour alteration derived from primary structure changes of model peptides

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Kemiska institutionen

    Författare :Marcus Bäcklund; [2020]
    Nyckelord :Model peptides; self-assembly; SAXS; FTIR; CD; physical chemistry; fysikalisk kemi; Chemistry;

    Sammanfattning : Understanding of the self-assembly behaviour of peptides is of great interest within several different areas such as neurodegenerative diseases, biotechnology, and peptide pharmaceuticals. In this work we have compared the impact on the self-assembly behaviour derived from systematic changes of the primary structure of A8K, where A denotes alanine and K lysine. LÄS MER

  3. 3. Using Blockchain Technology and Smart Contracts to Create a Distributed Securities Depository

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Institutionen för elektro- och informationsteknik

    Författare :Eric Wall; Gustaf Malm; [2016]
    Nyckelord :Blockchain; Blockchain Technology; Distributed Ledger Technology; Smart Contracts; Bitcoin; Cryptocurrency; Securities; Decentralized; Distributed; Central Securities Depository; CSD; Delivery versus payment; Consensus model; Sidechain; Colored coins; Cryptofinance; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : In the existing securities market structure, a securities trade between two parties requires the involvement of several financial intermediaries ensuring the safety of the transaction. However, the complexity of today’s market structure in conjunction with the lack of interoperability between financial data infrastructures and the disalignment of business practices, are causing costs, risks and friction—resulting in settlement often taking several days.
