Through a combination of feminist theory and critical disability theory, this thesis aims to answer how gendered cycles of inequality are perpetuated within healthcare systems specifically in the treatment of cardiovascular disease. Even as institutions have voiced their active engagement in tackling this problem, critique has been raised arguing that greenwashing is only increasing with little resistance to deter its practice.
