   Sammanfattning : The aim of this review was to investigate the possible causes and factors related to insulin resistance. The horse is a grazing animal but domestic horses are today sometimes fed large amounts of grains and concentrates rich in starch and sugars, which leads to an increased risk of developing insulin resistance.
