  1. 21. Optimering av den skandinaviska massbalansmetoden på Storglaciären, Kebnekaisemassivet

    Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Hannah Fahlborg; Emma Flodin; [2017]
    Nyckelord :Mass balance; climate; Storglaciären; the scandinavian method; optimization; Massbalans; klimat; Storglaciären; skandinaviska metoden; optimering;

    Sammanfattning : Klimatförändringar har direkt påverkan på glaciärers tillväxt och avsmältning. Genom att studera glaciärers massbalans kan framtida riskbedömningar, för bland annat havsytans stigning, uppskattas. LÄS MER

  2. 22. Differential Interferometry and Multiple-Aperture Interferometry for Retrieving Three-Dimensional Measurements of Glacial Surface Velocity

    Master-uppsats, Stockholms universitet/Institutionen för naturgeografi

    Författare :Luke Webber; [2016]
    Nyckelord :Differential Interferometry; Multiple-Aperture Interferometry; 3D; Glacial Surface Velocity;

    Sammanfattning : The measurement and monitoring of glacial surface velocity is important for many aspects of glaciology, such as determining the mass balance, for characterising the stability or instability of glaciers, or the identification of potential hazards from surging glaciers or Jökulhlaups, a type of glacial outburst flood. Predominately measurements of glacial surface velocity have been produced using either differential interferometry (DInSAR) applied to radar data, or offset-tracking applied to either optical or radar data. 3. 23. Seasonal Velocities on Nordenskiöldbreen, Svalbard

    Master-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Lena Elisa Ehwald; [2016]
    Nyckelord :Nordenskiöldbreen; Svalbard; velocity; glaciers; climate change; mass balance; dynamical behaviour of glaciers; Glaciär; Svalbard; Nordenski öldbreen; isflöde; massbalans; klimatuppvärmnin;

    Sammanfattning : Global warming leads to increased precipitation in the Arctic, as warmer air can carry more moisture. The consequence is that many arctic glaciers get steeper slopes over time as increased melt at their lower part causes thinning and increased solid precipitation in their upper regions leads to thickening of the glacier. 4. 24. Ämnestransport i Tomtaåns avrinningsområde : Inverkan av Hovgårdens avfallsanläggning och diffusa utsläpp

    Kandidat-uppsats, Uppsala universitet/Institutionen för geovetenskaper

    Författare :Stephanie Nyström; Elias Bäckström; [2016]
    Nyckelord :Substance concentrations; mass transport; discharge; concentration change; waste facility; water; plant uptake; diffuse source; point source; chloride; nitrogen; ammonium; nitrate; phosphorus; phosphate; iron; sulfate; modelled substance concentrations; Ämneshalter; masstransport; vattenföring; haltförändring; avfallsanläggning; vatten; växtupptag; diffusa utsläpp; punktkällor; klorid; kväve; ammonium; nitrat; fosfor; fosfat; järn; sulfat; schablonhalter;

    Sammanfattning : The chemistry of a stream is the result of different transport routes of the precipitation and the processes it undergoes in the catchment area to the stream. The transport route can involve natural processes in the ground, called diffuse sources, or some more anthropogenic sources titled point sources. LÄS MER

  5. 25. Analysis of the Temporal Variability of Positive Degree Day Factors

    Kandidat-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Förbränningsfysik; Lunds universitet/Fysiska institutionen

    Författare :Hanna Rönnberg; [2016]
    Nyckelord :Positive Degree Day Surface Mass Balance; Physics and Astronomy;

    Sammanfattning : The surface mass balance determines the growth or decay of an ice sheet, by taking the difference between accumulation and ablation. In this thesis snow and ice ablation is related to 2m-temperature through the positive degree day method. LÄS MER
