    Sammanfattning : This exploratory thesis examines Chinese M&A activities in Germany since 2002 by incorporating findings from industry reports, empirical data, and a questionnaire filled out by AutoCo (anonymized) under a mixed methods approach. Typical German targets are active in the Manufacturing industry, have poor financial profiles, and obtain traits such as technology, access to international markets and complementary products that motivated Chinese investors to acquire.     Sammanfattning : Purpose: The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between post merger financial performance and customer reactions on M&As, as well as how the issues of strategic relationships, integration, marketing, and human resources influence these customer reactions. Method: One of the main reasons why M&A research lacks so much of customer reactions is that the methodological mainstream of M&A research in finance, economics, and strategy areas consist of quantitative surveys based on existing stock market and accounting data, which do not include more detailed customer, employee, and process data.
