   Sammanfattning : This study has examined how young people in out-of-home care, specifically special youth homes in Sweden (SiS), describe their life situation and their ability to make their voices heard during care.    Sammanfattning : Den här uppsatsen undersöker hur fångarnas och personalens beteende på Karlstads fångvårdsanstalt bidrar till att strukturera och reproducera ett klassystem inom anstalten under mitten av 1900-talet. För att åstadkomma detta används förhörsprotokoll, inventarieförteckningar både specifika för böcker tillgängliga för de intagna och för generella föremål på anstalten, och protokoll över personalens kvartalssammanträden. It will shed light on the factors behind why the militarily neutral country created this rather unique position, how it changed during the mere fifty years in service, and why it was ultimately decommissioned.    Sammanfattning : This essay presents a case study about the development of income levels in the medical sector during Sweden´s period of modernization, 1890-1920, focusing specifically on the five wage groups which comprised the medical staff at Uppsala´s Ulleråker hospitalum (=mental asylum). This institution, though different in it´s stated mission from hospitals and the like, was similarily organized, and staffed with employees belonging to the same categories as regular hospital staff - they shared similar social backgrounds, education levels, work tasks and conditions.
