  1. 1. Biflödens effekt på mångfald och abundans av växter i strandzonen utmed älvar : Test av hydrochorins effekt och den longitudinella teorin

    Kandidat-uppsats, Karlstads universitet

    Författare :Daniel Berger; [2023]
    Nyckelord :biology; ecology; hydrochory; plants; biological diversity; riparian; riparian zone; river collector hypothesis; ume river; vindel river; biologi; ekologi; hydrochori; växter; biologisk mångfald; strandzon; kantzon; river collector hypothesis; umeälven; vindelälven;

    Sammanfattning : The riparian zone is a changeable and species-rich habitat with important ecological functions that have long been affected by human activities such as hydropower and forestry. Rivers and their adjacent riparian zones also constitute a transport route for plant parts and seeds in a form of passive transport, called hydrochory, which can contribute to the establishment of plants or the preservation of diversity in the riparian zone. 2. 2. Mathematical modelling of microvascular oxygen transport and the impact of blood pressure

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Institutionen för medicinsk teknik

    Författare :Siri Walmstedt; [2023]
    Nyckelord :Mathematical modelling; Microcirculation; Oxygen transport; Blood pressure; Hypertension; Systems biology;

    Sammanfattning : Cardiovascular diseases are the most common cause of death worldwide. There are known risk factorsfor cardiovascular diseases, such as high blood pressure, and it is also known that cardiovasculardiseases are associated with both the macrocirculation and the microcirculation. 3. 3. Recombinant Expression of Novel Wild Type Oat Hemoglobins in Escherichia Coli

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Tillämpad biokemi; Lunds universitet/Beräkningskemi

    Författare :Frank Rummukainen; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Recombinant technology; Protein expression; Hemoglobin; Phytoglobin; Escherichia coli; Oat; Avena sativa; Heme; Iron; Biosynthesis; Transcription; qPCR; SDS-PAGE; Fermentation; Recombination; Applied Biochemistry; Biology and Life Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : Hemoglobin is a protein transporting oxygen through our bloodstreams and is as such essential for aerobic life. Hemoglobins also exist in plants, with a wide variety of functions other than oxygen transport. LÄS MER

  4. 4. Fabrication and Characterisation of iontronic micropipette

    Master-uppsats, Linköpings universitet/Laboratoriet för organisk elektronik; Linköpings universitet/Tekniska fakulteten

    Författare :Henrik Hamrefors; [2022]
    Nyckelord :Iontronic drug delivery; Iontronic micropipette; Ion exchange membrane; AMPSA; A-HPG; Fabrication; Characterisation; Teknisk biologi; Teknisk biologi;

    Sammanfattning : The biological translation between biological and electrical signals have inspired scientists over the last decade and has opened new way of therapeutics. The group of Bioelectronics at the Laboratory of organic electronics (LOE) develops systems that utilizes this translation to reduce the gap between electronics and biology. LÄS MER

  5. 5. Designing the Superplant: Increasing Lipid Signaling for Enhanced Phosphorus Uptake

    Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Tillämpad biokemi; Lunds universitet/Beräkningskemi

    Författare :Louise Jedemark; [2021]
    Nyckelord :Lipid flippases; Arabidopsis; Yeast; Transport biology; Applied Biochemistry; Tillämpad biokemi; Biology and Life Sciences; Technology and Engineering;

    Sammanfattning : Phosphate is fundamental for optimal growth and reproduction for plants. However, due to low solubility, not all phosphorus in the soil is available to the plant. It has recently been discovered that plants can take up complex phosphate-containing organic compounds, such as phospholipids. LÄS MER
