    Sammanfattning : This thesis examines the patterns of the contemporary female Bildungsroman in terms of the female and male patterns of the protagonist using two contemporary Bildungsromans; Judith Schalansky’s Der Hals der Giraffe and Linda Solanki’s Dem See entlang Richtung verlorene Jugend.
