1. Ventilation for reduced indoor spread of Covid 19 and similar diseases : A literature review focusing on hospital environments
Master-uppsats, Högskolan i Gävle/Energisystem och byggnadsteknikSammanfattning : Today, a significant portion of individuals’ time is spent indoors, estimated at approximately 90% of their total time. This raises concerns about the transmission of Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) instigating Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and similar viruses and highlights the critical role of ventilation systems in indoor environments, which this study aims to investigate. 2. Characterization of PLA Nanoplastics, and Their Effects on Daphnia magna
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Centrum för analys och syntesSammanfattning : As plastic pollution in aquatic environments keeps happening it has become more and more important to learn more about nanoparticles. Bio-based and biologically degradable plastics, such as polylactic acid (PLA), are gaining popularity and it is therefore important to determine whether they break down into nanoplastics or not. 3. The possibilities of recycling wash water at Vidinge
Master-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Kemiteknik (CI)Sammanfattning : Water is a resource of importance and with drier weather around the world, including Swe-den, there is a risk of too low levels of water to satisfy for instance households, animals and industries in the future. Fresh-cut fruit and vegetable industries are water intense and almost all process water is used in the washing process. LÄS MER
4. Fotokatalytisk oxidation för en reducering av lättflyktiga kolväten
Master-uppsats, KTH/Skolan för kemivetenskap (CHE)Sammanfattning : In this study photocatalytic oxidation was investigated as a potential treatment method of VOC emissions from industrial plants. This was done by designing an experimental setup and a photocatalytic reactor for screening of photocatalysts (TiO2). LÄS MER
5. Comparison of UV-C and Vacuum- UV induced AOT on the acute mortality of microalgae.
Master-uppsats, KTH/Mark- och vattenteknikSammanfattning : Advanced oxidation technology (AOT) has been used to destroy microorganisms in ballast water by breaking down the cell membranes. The primary objective of this study was to determine the effects of a ballast water treatment system that uses a combination of UV-C (λ=254 nm), Vacuum-UV (VUV; λ=185 nm) and photocatalytic titanium dioxide (TiO2) on a freshwater algae, Pseudokirchneriella subcapitata, and a marine algae, Tetraselmis suecica.
