Det relevanta innehållet från de olika läroböckerna har studerats genom ett funktionellt samt strukturellt perspektiv, för att se till vilket innehåll som framställs samt hur, och på vilket sätt läroböckerna och dess författare kan ha påverkats av den tid då de tillkommit.
