  2. 2. Early to early Middle Ordovician conodont biostratigraphy of the Tamsalu drill core, central Estonia

    Magister-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionen

    Författare :Lisa Sjöstrand; [2003]
    Nyckelord :Ordovician; Latorpian; Volkhovian; Kundan; Aserian; conodonts; biostratigraphy; Parapaltodus n. sp. A; Texania sp. A; Tamsalu; Estonia; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : This investigation examines the distribution of conodont elements in the Early to early Middle Ordovician Latorpian, Volkhovian, Kundan and Aserian stages of the Tamsalu drill core in central Estonia. Slightly more than 24, 600 conodont elements from 17 samples were examined, and the biostratigraphic results were compared to previous works on conodont biostratigraphy from localities in Estonia, Russia and Öland, Sweden. 3. 3. Conodont biostratigraphy in Volkhovian sediments from the Mäekalda section, north-central Estonia

    Magister-uppsats, Lunds universitet/Geologiska institutionen

    Författare :Jenny Wickström; [1999]
    Nyckelord :Conodonts; biostratigraphy; Baltoniodus navis Zone; Paroistodus originalis Zone; Baltoniodus norrlandicus Zone; Toila Formation; Volkhov; Arenig; Ordovician; Mäekalda; Estonia; Earth and Environmental Sciences;

    Sammanfattning : This investigation examines the distribution of conodont elements in the upper Lower Ordovician (Arenig) Volkhov Stage of the Mäekalda section situated in the Tallinn area, north-central Estonia. Slightly more than 36,000 conodont elements from 18 samples were investigated, and the biostratigraphic result was compared to previous works on conodont biostratigraphy from localities in south-central Sweden.
